June 26, 2000Windham, Connecticut -- A new web site for the The Windham Democratic Town Committee will be inaugurated on July 1, 2000. www.WinDemocrats.Org will provide citizens with a wealth of information about candidates and issues for this Fall's and future campaigns. According to Murphy Sewall, the site's webmaster, "you can't get much information from a lawn sign. This website will provide in-depth information about all the candidates on the Democratic Team. It should be especially helpful to the campaigns for important, but less visible and less well financed, offices on the November ballot." Dawn Niles, Town Chair, had this to say about providing the site "The mission of the Democratic Town Committee is to provide the most up to date information to ALL Democrat's in Windham; with the addition of this new site, we hope to keep everyone up to date on all activities, issues and meetings that are happening with our Democratic Town Committee."
The website also will be a source of information about the activities of the Town's Democrats and encourage increased participation in Windham's political life.
