- Invitation to a fundraiser for Jim Sullivan, a third Democratic candidate for the 2nd Congressional District for Friday, June 22, 2001 @ 5:00 p.m. in Norwich.
- Letter from Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz thanking committee for the opportunity to come to speak.
- Letter from Thomas DeVivo informing Chair and committee of his decision not to seek re-election for the Board of Selectmen, Willimantic Service District.

- Guest Speaker - no show
- Platform Committee Report - Chair of this subcommittee, V. Rayhall, once again reported that they have not yet met. There will be a report for the next meeting.
- Dropout Rate Committee Report - D. Rayhall reported that they have not yet met.
- Candidates for the Board of Selectmen, Zoning Board of Appeals, and the Board of Assessment Appeals were presented. Those who wished to address the committee did so.
- Candidates for the First Selectman seat, Susan Johnson and Michael Paulhus introduced themselves and addressed the committee. This was followed by a short Q/A session.
- Candidates for the Board of Education, Susan Collins, Manuel Díaz and Bruce Clements introduced themselves and addressed the committee. This was followed by a short Q/A session.
- Candidates:
- First Selectman - Susan Johnson and Michael Paulhus
- Board of Selectman: Windhams - Barbara McGrath and Victor Rayhall / Willimantic Service District: Joseph Marsalisi, Lourdes Montalvo, Yolanda Negrón, Mark Shapera and Thomas White.
- Board of Education: Bruce Clements, Susan Collins, Manuel Díaz and Tracey Lambert
- Zoning Board of Appeals: Albert Beaulieu, Karen Harris, Joshua Niles and Leon Sarin
- Board of Assessment Appeals: Samuel Bonafine, John Nimlo, Ralph Zimmerman
- Old Business: Dropout Committee - T. White has been added to the committee.
- New Business:
- Eastern CT Health Board - there is an imbalance on this board due to one of its members, Roger Lizzee having switch parties. There are now three Democrats, which means that one will have to resign. They are: Roger Lizzee, Mark Shapera and Thomas White. To be further discussed and looked into.
- ADA and Polling Places - W. Sayers reported that has a drafted a letter to the Secretary of State, they have continued to follow up on suggestions which have been made in regards to this issue. At the moment, the schools are the only places that provide 100% compliance. The only places that have responded to the Registrar's letter is the Windham Center Fire House and the Elks' Club, which have responded that they continue to be interested in serving as a polling place. The Temple B'Nai Israel has not responded.
- Bilingual position has been filled - Evenlyn Gil, a graduate from Eastern CT State University. Lives in Willimantic.
- There will be a game on Saturday, June 16th at Windham Heights. It will be Windham Heights vs. the State Police at the basketball court. Windham Heights is planning a series of sports events, getting the community (especially the youth) involved in various sports activities. Saturday's event begins at 10:00 a.m.
- Saturday, June 23rd is the bridge dedication. Events begin at 9:00. The Governor and Lt. Governor will not be able to attend, but there are lots of activities planned.
- Next meeting: July 23 @ 7:00 p.m. at the VFW. This is important - it is the endorsement meeting.
