How to Get an Absentee Ballot Application

Applications are available from the Town Clerks Office at the Town Hall or by calling the office at 465-3013 to have one mailed to you. Applications usually are available about 45 days prior to the election.

You may download an absentee ballot application (in English or Spanish) at the Connecticut Secretary of State's website: Election Forms

An application for absentee ballot may be downloaded by an individual for: (1) the individual's own use; (2) the use of a member of the individual's immediate family; or (3) the use of a designee of the applicant. Any person who will distribute five (5) or more absentee ballot applications to persons other than the individual's immediate family must register with and obtain forms from the Town Clerk of the municipality where such forms will be distributed before distributing such forms.

For more detailed information please review the Absentee Ballot Fact Sheet and the Absentee Ballot Appplication Process document.

The forms are in Acrobat Reader format. You can download the free reader software at:

Upon receiving your ballot you must fill out the form by checking the box next to the name that you wish to vote for. There is NO PARTY LINE, so it is up to you to remember to check all the boxes under the DEMOCRATS. If you need help you can always contact the Registrar of Voters or any member of the Town Committee. Candidates cannot help you with this process.
